What do you do, and what drives you?

After being a stockbroker for over 28 years I decided it was time for a change and focused on working with the network to make change where we can whilst still doing deals in the corporate world. This time, on my time, with good people and very selectively.

What made you say yes to Oracle 33?

It resonated with me because it focused on giving to causes that are not being largely supported by the government, had low overheads and really focused on its cause. Also, working with some amazing people in WA to make change.I am currently already supporting The Magic Coat for Kids, Rotary and Worthy Australia on a yearly basis.

What does giving mean to you personally?

No one ever feels bad giving.Impactful giving, no matter how small, whether it is monetary or time to make someone’s life better, fills our hearts. At some point we were a recipient—or will be.You never know.I mentor 3–4 young business adults a year and their success and change has been incredibly rewarding. All I have asked is for them to do the same. Life is pretty simple.

What do you hope Meridian looks like by 2040?

That we become the charity donors trust and donate to.I am building a platform for charities to be able to operate hopefully cheaper with all the support. The idea is for it to be a gold standard platform at some point.Keeps them accountable, donors know where their money is going, etc.

Is there anyone in your network you think would be a great fit for Oracle 33?
